Ms. Amy Davis gently departed this earthly life on January 8, 2024, from Memorial Health University, Savannah, Georgia.
Amy, daughter of the late Mrs. Dorothy Ruth Davis Reese and Mr. Jim Ellison, was born in Eatonton, Georgia on December 13, 1968.
At an early age she joined Free Gift Baptist Church. Amy was a happy person and loved her family and friends. She loved to dance and have fun. She was blessed to have found a second mom in Marion Waller who took her along with other cousins under her wing. Amy shared her smile and affectious personality with the customers and employees at McDonalds for 26 years until her health began to fail. Amy was known to always have a smile on her face no matter how she felt or the circumstances she was facing. Her beautiful spirit will surely be missed by every life she encountered.
Amy leaves to cherish her love and memories: 2 sons: Jimquaves C. Hunter, Jimontae D. Hunter; a loving and devoted friend, Sherod Prather, loving sisters: Audrey Wallace, and Bobbie Jean Davis; grandchildren: Janiyah, Kemiyah, Kyler, Elijah, and Kameron; special nieces: Ericka, Jermonica, Bieisha, Binisha; loving nephews: Rev. Roger Reid, Tom, and D’mario; uncles: Ned Waller (Betty), Terry Davis (Paulette), Curtis Ellison (Shirley), Ray Charles Ellison; Aunts: Lucinda Andrews, Lucy Jones (Rev.Willie C.), Viola Yarbrough; a special friend: Mr. Harry Stafford; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, 12 PM at Putnam Memorial Funeral Home, 105 Agnes Drive, Eatonton, Georgia 31024. Officiating the Service will be the Reverend Willie C. Jones, Sr. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 5PM – 7PM at Putnam Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral home requests wearing a mask and social distancing.
