Arlington E. Robertson

Arlington E. Robertson, affectionately known as Arlie, passed away at the Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital on May 27, 2022.  He was born in Gainesville, Georgia on June 27, 1958, and was son of the late Mr. Charles L. Robertson and Mrs. Ruth Harris Robertson.  

Arlie, graduated from Gainesville High School, Gainesville, Georgia in 1977.  After high school, he moved to Eatonton.  Arlie loved to cook, play cards, and pitch horseshoes.  He was the life of the party! His employment included Rock Eagle, Eatonton Construction, and the City of Eatonton until his health began to fail.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings: Wayne Robertson, Rufus Robertson, and Ann Robertson Daniels.

Mr. Robertson leaves to cherish fond memories three sons: Jaquice Robertson, Ashley Turner, and Swan Turner; one sister: Sarita Robertson; one brother: Allen Robertson; three grandchildren: Jeremiah Turner, Jacee Dukes, and Jaquice Turner; nieces: Sheila and Makayla Robertson; nephews: Brandon Robertson, Atonio Robertson, Tyre Robertson, Brandon and Brenden Robertson; one aunt, Joann Henter; one cousin who was like a sister: Minister Loretta McIntosh Mathis;  great-nieces and nephews, friends: Mario Ruff, Mary Duke, Stanley Waller, Charles James; lots of tailgaters as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2022, 12:00 P. M. at Putnam Memorial Funeral Home, 105 Agnes Street, Eatonton, Georgia 31025. Officiating the service will be the Reverend Eddie L. Presley. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, June 3, 2022, 6-8 PM.  Putnam Memorial Funeral Home promotes adherence to the CDC protocol.  Please wear mask and social distance.
