Bernice Dunn

MRS. BERNICE DUNN, daughter of Mrs. Rosa Mae Farley and the late Mr. Walter Farley was born July 27, 1958, in Eatonton, Georgia.  On October 26, 2022, the Lord visited her home assuring Bernice that the battle had been fought and the victory was won.

She became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Eatonton at a young age.

Bernice received her education in the Putnam County School System and graduated with the Class of 1977. In 1988, Bernice was joined in Holy Matrimony to Larry Dunn. She worked for the Putnam County Board of Education for over ten years until retirement in 2020.

Bernice was a hard worker and made sure that whatever she did, it was done with honor.  But don’t let that smile and small frame fool you.  Bernice was a woman of many words.  What came up came out.  She said what she said and meant what she said.

Preceding her in death were her father, Walter Farley; brother, Melvin Farley; and sister, Elizabeth Farley.

Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of her loved ones which include: her husband, Larry Dunn of Eatonton, GA; one daughter, Natasha (Terry) Peace of Rome, GA; one son, Malik Dunn of Eatonton, GA; Mother, Rosa Mae Farley of Eatonton, GA; one brother, Ernest (Jennifer) Farley of Eatonton, GA; one sister, Beatrice Farley of Eatonton, GA; three aunts: Dorothy Farley, Annie Bell Reid both of Eatonton, GA, and Ruby Lee Green of Macon, GA; six brothers-in-law: Marion, Sidney, Randy, Oscar Dunn all of Eatonton, GA, Marshall (Charlene) Dunn and Terry (Marsenia) Dunn both of Milledgeville, GA; five grandchildren: Patrick and Cerria Peace of Rome, GA, Johnny Jabriel and Malik Jabriel Dunn of Eatonton, GA, and Elijah Richardson of New York; two nephews she cherished with all of her heart: DeArion Dennis and Eimaj Johnson; a dedicated and devoted best friend for over fifty years, Ms. Elease Harrison;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, 12:00 PM at Zion Covenant Fellowship, 402 S. Oak Street, Eatonton, Georgia 31024. Officiating the Service will be Pastor Fred Lowe.  Minister Kareem Farley will deliver the Eulogy.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, 4PM – 6PM at Putnam Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral home promotes adherence to the CDC protocol.  Please wear mask and social distance.
