George A. Jackson Jr., son of the George A. Jackson, Sr. and Bettye L. Hibbitt Jackson who both preceded him in death, was born on June 23, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. He departed this life on Friday, December 30, 2021 at his home in Eatonton, Georgia.
Mr. Jackson relocated from Columbus, Ohio to Eatonton, Georgia where his residence has been for the past twenty-nine years.
He worked for the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office as Deputy Sheriff. Also, Mr. Jackson was employed by the City of Monticello, Jasper County.
Cherished memories will linger on in the hearts of his loved ones which include his sisters, Sharon Jackson of Jersey City, New Jersey and Joyce Jackson of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Ernest S. Jackson of San Diego, California; his nieces and nephews: Angel Jackson Agondek of Columbus, Ohio, Kananaii Mercado of Jersey City, New Jersey, Tsasia Mercado of Los Angeles, California, Christina Jackson and Sean Jackson both of San Diego, California, Cynthia Jackson of Rocklin, California, Alanna Reed of Jersey City, New Jersey, and John Wesley Dean IV of Los Angeles, California; a host of cousins in Ohio, California, Texas, Nevada, Arizona, New York, and Georgia.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, 12:00 P. M. at Putnam Memorial Funeral Home, 105 Agnes Street, Eatonton, Georgia 31025. Officiating the service will be the Reverend Roderick Bradford. Putnam Memorial Funeral Home promotes adherence to the CDC protocol. Please wear mask and social distance.
