Mr. George Sidney Johnson, 68, was born on January 26, 1953, in Putnam County to the late Mr. Joe W. and Willie M. Beasley. He departed this life on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. George attended Putnam County Schools. During his adult life, he worked as a dairyman for The Parham Dairy until his health began to fail.
George was a quiet person who loved his family. In addition, he enjoyed listening to old school music, cooking, and watching classic cars and motorcycles. He also loved to dress nicely. Black leather and jeans were his favorite clothing attire.
He was preceded in death by his long life partner Stella Scott ; granddaughter: LaQuita Scott; parents: Joe W. and Willie M. Beasley; and a sister Dorothy J. Butts.
Cherishing his memories are his son: David Scott (Tonja); grandchildren: David Scott Jr. and Shaneese Scott, Khamiyah and Shamiyah Ellison; Brothers: Lonnie Beasley of Monticello, GA., Milton Beasley (Betty) of Madison, GA., Calvin Beasley of Eatonton, GA.; Sisters: Kathy and Martha Beasley of Eatonton, GA., sisters-in-law: Doris Scott and Gloria Little (James) of Eatonton Ga., and Mary C. Webb of Milledgeville, GA.; Aunts: Euria Butts of Eatonton, Mary E. White of Atlanta, GA., Alice Jackson of North Carolina; a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021, 1:00 PM in the Putnam Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 105 Agnes Street, Eatonton, Georgia. The viewing will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, 4:00PM – 7:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the East Eatonton Cemetery, 129 Hogan Boulevard, Eatonton, GA 31024. Officiating the service will be the Reverend Willie C. Jones, Sr. Putnam Memorial Funeral Home promotes adherence to the CDC protocol. Please wear mask and social distance.
