Jennifer Neal Obituary

Jennifer Denise Neal was born on May 11,1970 in Greensboro, Georgia to James Calvin Neal and Fannie Brown Neal. She accepted Christ into her life at a very early age was baptized and became a member of Springfield Baptist Church.

Jennifer enjoyed spending time with her many cousins and friends while growing up in Greensboro. One of her favorite games to play was UNO. She liked to shoot hoops on her basketball court in her backyard. She also liked to travel to Atlanta and go to Six Flags with her cousins and friends on the weekends.

She attended Greene-Taliaferro Comprehensive High School. While there, she played clarinet, was captain of the majorette squad, and graduated in the top 5% of her class. She then went on to attend the University of Georgia where she earned Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. She was chosen to be a Kappa Sweetheart as well.

Jennifer lived and worked in Atlanta, Georgia when she was in her 20’s. While in Atlanta, she made new lifelong friendships that she cherished.

Anyone who knew Jennifer was familiar with her quick wit. In addition, she was extremely intelligent, wildly funny, and often described as the life of the party. She was also a very compassionate person who loved children and worked as a nanny as two years. She was also very fond of animals. In her latter years, she spent her spare time tutoring children in her community.

Jennifer could be difficult at times, but most people who met her couldn’t help but like her. She even described herself as a “difficult person”. But her charming personality, beautiful smile, and infectious sense of humor were hard to resist. She made a lasting impression on nearly everyone she met. From now on she will live in the hearts and minds of those who loved her and knew her best.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her brother Calvin “Cal” Neal, Father James Calvin Neal, And Mother Fannie Neal. She is survived by Sister: Kellie Farley(Jerome), Brother: Vincent Jackson (Francean), Aunts: Faith Y. Neal Hemphill, Vivian Neal-Smith (Samuel), Gwendolyn Jackson, Andrea Nicole Lawrence, Uncles: Thomas Jackson (Lana), Stanley Jackson, Victor Jackson (Elaine) Cousins: Marcy A. Hemphill Payne (Anthony), Henry G. Neal (Yoshalyn), David Sanders Neal (Brittany), James Peek, Bernice Turner, Cecelia Turner, other cousins, Best Friend: Nicolette Howard (Fredrick), Good Friends: Heather Lowrie-Hill (Eric) and Kristi Grimes.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, 12:30 PM at Putnam Memorial Funeral Home, Agnes Street, Eatonton, GA with the Reverend Willie R. Peete, Senior Pastor, Springfield Historic Baptist Church, Greensboro, Officiating.  The Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
