Susie Mae (Crawford) Reid

            SUSIE MAE REID, daughter of Peter and Mary Crawford who both preceded her in death, was born February 24, 1949 in Eatonton, Georgia.  On June 4, 2021 the Lord visited her room at Grady Hospital assuring Susie that the battle had been fought and the victory was won.

           “Mae Mae” as she was so affectionately called by her family and friends, received her education from the Putnam County School System. 

            Mae Mae was a loving and devoted housewife.  She loved cooking and taking care of her family until her health began to fail.

            In 1972, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Robert Reid, Jr. who preceded her in death. 

            She became a member of Jefferson Baptist Church at a young age.  Later, she moved her membership to Life Line Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Ozzie Hanson.

            Cherished memories will linger on in the hearts of his loved ones which include her two daughters: Linda (Frank) Goss and Rhonda Farley of Eatonton, GA; one son: Brian (Persia) Crawford of Eatonton, GA;  ten grandchildren: Jaleesa Crawford, Jamesia Crawford, Ryan Crawford, Ambria Crawford, Na Ila Crawford Quandrez Crawford, Kecciyanna Dennis, Kadeem Walton, Hakeem Walton, and E An Walton; eight great grandchildren; one loving sister: Fannie (Edmund) Roberts of Eatonton, GA; two sisters-in-law: Ruby Green of Macon, GA and Rosa Mae Farley of Eatonton, GA; one uncle: Hubert Ford of Atlanta, GA; one aunt: Shirley Farley of Eatonton, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

           Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, Jefferson Baptist Church Cemetery, Eatonton, Georgia.  The viewing will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, 4:00PM – 7:00PM at the funeral home.   Officiating the service will be Minister Kareem Farley and Minister Thedoria Sneed will deliver the Eulogy.  Putnam Memorial Funeral Home promotes adherence to the CDC protocol.  Please wear mask and social distance.
