Teresa (Waller) Stephens

Ms. Teresa Waller Stephens who was born March 15, 1973, to the parentage of the late Mr. Rudolph and Mrs. Annie Kate Waller passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022.  She has now gained her heavenly wings.

Teresa, affectionately known to all as “T” was a 1991 graduate of Putnam County High School.  Upon graduating she began her journey as a passionate caregiver by becoming employed with the Eatonton Early Childhood Development Center.  There, she touched the hearts and lives of many children with laughter and love.  The center closed their doors, but she recognized her calling and became self-employed and opened her home to continue to care for children.  Teresa’s caregiving qualities were not limited to young children but people of all ages as well.  Her recognition as “Ma” on Baynes Street is a title she wore deservingly.  She believed in helping those that were in need or want.  To know her was to love her.

She was preceded in death by her brother Anthony, nephew Zac and best friend Tonya.

Teresa leaves to cherish fond and loving memories:  a devoted and dedicated daughter, Katerra and a loving son, Terrance (TJ); fiancé, Terrell (Pops); grandsons:  Kaston, Kylan, and Terrance III; bonus daughter and grands:  Brynisha, Aroura and Demi;  Godchildren: Michael and Camiyah; brothers: Willie Joe, Larry, Randy, Allen,  Roosevelt, Charles, Alvin, and  Jerome; sister:  Rosa V; devoted friends: Ruth Mae, Beverly, and Mary, as well as a host of precious aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, 1:00 PM at Zion Covenant Fellowship Church, 402 S. Oak Street, Eatonton, Georgia 31024.  Pastor Frederick Lowe will be officiating.  Evangelist Dorothy Farley Jordan will deliver the Eulogy.  The funeral home promotes adherence to the CDC protocol.  Please wear mask and social distance.
